We grow the Oregon June strawberries. As the name suggests, they are usually ready just about the first of June. Our season is about 3 weeks. We grow mostly Shuksans and some Hoods. The Oregon berries are very sweet and have short shelf life. Get them the day you have time to process them. They are both good for jams, the Shuksan being more robust, keeps it's shape better in freezing. The first berries of the season are the biggest. As the season progresses, the size gets smaller but the berries get sweeter. The last of the berries are small and very sweet - I call them 'Strawberry candy'.
We offer U-pick and already picked. For the picked berries please call a day ahead and order for next day pickup. We pick first thing in the morning and they are ready to pick up about 10am. We usually have few flats extra, but those go quickly.
